Chris has over 23 years in the U.S. Army and has volunteered to serve as the secretary of the PSYOP Regimental Association, Fort Bragg Chapter. Chris currently serves as the course manager of the Special Operations Military Deception Planners Course at the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School.
Chris began his PSYOP career in 2005 and has deployed or supported operations in Korea, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Germany, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Afghanistan, and Singapore. His recent positions include senior enlisted leader of the Information Warfare Task Force-INDOPACOM; S3X, Military Information Support Task Force-Afghanistan; and Noncommissioned Officer in Charge, J39, United Nations Command, Combined Forces Command, and United States Forces Korea. Chris has served in 9th PSYOP Battalion (Airborne), 5th PSYOP Battalion (Airborne), and is a plank holder of 7th PSYOP Battalion (Airborne). He was also assigned to Headquarters, U.S. Army Special Operations Command with duty in Virginia Beach, VA. Chris was the Distinguished Honor Graduate of the PSYOP Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course and Honor Graduate of the Senior Leaders Course.
Chris was the first noncommissioned officer to complete the Comprehensive Strategic Response to Terrorism Course at the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies and the first special operations noncommissioned officer to complete the Regional Leader Develop Program-Pacific, earning the Army skill identifier, 6Z-Army strategist. He has also completed several Joint and Army information related capabilities courses.
His civilian education includes a Master of Arts in International Relations focused on global development from Norwich University, a graduate certificate in Strategic Communication from Appalachian State University, a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies and Associate of Arts in Korean Studies from the University of Maryland, Global Campus. He also completed a certificate of Korean language studies at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. While attending Norwich, he was inducted into the Sigma Iota Rho and SALUTE national honor societies. Chris currently serves as the President of the Norwich University Alumni Club of Fayetteville/Fort Bragg.
In his off-time, Chris volunteers as the Veteran Outreach Coordinator for the Team Red, White, and Blue, Fort Bragg/Fayetteville Chapter, helping to enrich the lives of our Veterans as they reenter civilian life after service. He also enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and daughter as well as running marathons and ultramarathons. In 2019, Chris completed the Boston Marathon as a member of the USASOC team. Chris is a Charter Life Member of the PSYOP Regimental Association, and a life member of the VFW, Korea Defense Veterans Association, Marathon Maniacs, and the Clean Water Corps and member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association.
