Remembering CPT David Edward Kuczynski

CPT Kuczynski was a Special Forces qualified Psychological Operations soldier (MOS 39305) assigned to Advisor Team 91 of the MACV advisors. Before his combat tour as a PSYOP officer, David served his first tour in Vietnam as an engineer in the 1st Cavalry Division. During his second tour, CPT Kuczynski was stationed out of Binh Duong Province, South Vietnam, advising the South Vietnamese Army. On 14 OCT 1969, CPT Kucynski was somewhere near the Chau Thanh District when his team engaged with the Viet Cong. During the battle, CPT Kucynski triggered a Viet Cong emplaced booby-trap that caused an explosion, resulting in his death.
David was posthumously awarded a second Bronze Star with valor device and a second Purple Heart.
His name is inscribed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall on Panel 17W Line 77
