Rodrigo Reyes

Rodrigo grew up in Artesia, New Mexico, and graduated from Eastern New Mexico University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. While in college Rodrigo also earned a 3rd degree Black Belt in Karate and owned/operated a Karate Academy from 2001 to 2006.Rodrigo is also a graduate of American Military University earning a Graduate Certificate in Organizational Management. Rodrigo is married to Julie from New Jersey and has 3 children, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 2 turtles.

Rodrigo enlisted in the Army in 2007 and has held several Military Occupational Specialties. He was first assigned as a mechanic with the 3rd Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment “Light Horse” with the 10th Mountain Division. He deployed with 3/17 Calvary to Baghdad, Iraq in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM. Once again deployed to Northern Iraq with 3rd Infantry Division in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM where he was trained and certified as Rapid Aerostat Initial Deployment (RAID) system technician. In June 2011 he attended the US Army School of Music in Norfolk, VA, where he reclassified to 42R (Army Musician). As a 42R he was assigned to the 3rd Infantry Division Band in Fort Stewart GA, 1st Armored Division Band in Fort Bliss, TX, and I Corps Band in Fort Lewis, WA.

Rodrigo began his PSYOP journey in 2015 with the 1st PSYOP Battalion (Airborne) and spent several rotations to Bogota Colombia supporting Special Operations Command South (SOCSOUTH). He also spent time in 9th PSYOP Battalion (Airborne) and he is currently serving as the 8th PSYOP Group Equal Opportunity Advisor (EOA)
